Production Methods of Seamless Steel Pipe
According to different production methods, seamless steel pipe can be divided into pipe, cold-rolled pipe, extruded pipe, etc.
Seamless steel pipes are produced in auto-pipe mill generally. Cut the solid tube blanks, set the centering on the surface of the tube blanks, heat the tubes by heating furnace, and punch holes in punchers. Tube blanks becomes vacuum gradually by the effect of the roller and tappet, and the circumrotation and forward of the puncher. It is called capillary tube and then continues to rolling the tubes at the auto-pipe mill again.
It must adopt the cold rolling or cold drawing or both of the two methods to produce the pipes if you want to acquire the smaller size and better quality seamless steel pipes. Cold drawing is usually made in single-chain cold-drawing machine or double-chain cold-drawing machine with 0.5～100T.
The extruded method means that bring the heated tube blanks to the airtight extrusion cylinder, extruded sections will be extruded from the smaller die hole under the effect of the moving of the rohreintreibdorn and pressing stem. This method can produce the seamless steel pipes with smaller diameter.

Circular steel pipe and shaped steel pipe
The stainless steel pipe can be divided into the circular steel pipe and the shaped steel pipe by different cross-sectional areas. Under the condition of the same Circumference, the area of circle reaches the largest. So there can be more fluid delivery with a circular tube. The Category of Seamless Steel Pipe
Seamless steel pipe is divided into hot-rolled pipe and cold-drawing pipe by the manufacturing methods. The largest nominal diameter of cold-drawing pipe is 200mm, hot-rolled pipe with 600 mm. In the pipeline project, when the diameter is more than 57mm, the hot-rolled tube is the regular selection; otherwise, the cold-drawing tube. Seamless steel pipe commonly used in pipeline projects has the following three types:
General seamless steel pipe: general seamless steel pipe is usually called seamless steel pipe. It is made of ordinary carbon steel, quality carbon steel, ordinary low-alloy steel and alloy structural steel. We usually use it to produce liquid transportation pipelines or the production structure, and parts.
Seamless steel pipe for low and medium-pressure boiler: it is usually made of steel No. 10, 20. Hot-rolled steel is delivered in hot rolled state and cold-rolled steel is delivered in cold rolled state.
Seamless steel pipe for high-pressure boiler: it is mainly used for making quality carbon structural steel, alloy steel and heat-resistant stainless steel. The pipe is delivered in hot rolled state. Otherwise, it has definite requirements for microscopic structure, grain size, and decarburized layer.

The Pressure of Seamless Steel Pipe
The pressure of seamless steel pipe is generally composed of pieces of standard parts, so the pressure pipe design component is the selection of its standard parts. The pressure level of pipelines is determined to the pressure level of its standard parts.
Pipeline pressure level consists of two parts:
One is nominal pressure rating which is expressed in the Nominal pressure of the standard parts. The other is wall thickness rating which is expressed in the wall thickness of the stand parts.
The pressure grade of the pipes:
The parameters of channels characteristics which are determined by the nominal pressure level and wall thickness are called the pressure grade of seamless steel pipe. To simplify the description, we often call the nominal pressure rating as pipe pressure grades.
The calculation of the pressure grades is not only the basis for pipeline design, but also the core of design. It is the basis of the arrangement of pressure pipe, and pressure pipe stress precondition for checking the design. And it is also an important factor which will affect investment in infrastructure and reliability of pipelines.

Seamless Steel Pipe
Seamless steel pipe is a long steel with hollow sections and has no joints surrounding the steel bar. It is mainly used as a pipeline to transfer the fluid, such as oil,natural gas,water and some solid materials,etc. As compared to the flexural torsional strength in the same light, it is an economic cross-section steel. The seamless steel pipes are widely used in the manufactures and mechniacal parts,such as the oil pipe, automotive transmission shaft,bicycles aircraft,as well as buliding construction. With steel pipe manufacturing, annular parts can improve the material utilization, simplify the manufacturing process, save material and machining time. For example, the roller bearing rings and the jack sets and so on have been widely made of steel pipes. Cylindrical rube can delivery more fluid since the circle has the largest areas under the same circumference. In addition, the ring cross-section bears internal or external pressure, the force more evenly, so that vast majority of tubular steel pipes are cylindrical rubes . However, the tube also has some limitations, such as in-plane bending conditions, the pipe on the better side, rectangular tube bending strength, and a number of sets of frames, steel-wood furniture on the commonly used square, rectangular tube.
